Tickets are £3 each, and are limited to four per household and strictly to Lockner residents only please.

Recycling on Lockner
You may have noticed recycling bins have popped up on Lockner. Bins are for mixed recyclables, meaning you can put different recyclable materials into the same bin, no need to separate and sort. Food recycling will be in place soon. Hackney Homes has assured the TRA that if fly tipping around the bins becomes a problem the bins will be moved or removed. If you spot fly-tipping, please call the council on 020 8356 4504 to have the rubbish removed and keep Lockner looking nice.
Communal Bike Pump
Lockner TRA is in the process of purchasing a public bike pump from cyclehoop.com (like the one outside Lock 7 Cycle Café on Broadway Market) that will be fitted securely somewhere on Lockner for us all to use. Keep your eyes peeled!
Blandford Court Gates Update
Hackney Homes have now gained planning permission to erect gates at the bottom of each of the 3 stairwells to Blandford Court in the hope of reducing anti social behaviour in the block by restricting access to Blandford residents.
HH have recently decided to change the design of the gates to be solid metal rather than having bars. If you would like to object to this change in design email (Toyin.Omodara@Hackney.gov.uk) by 8th December or email Ellie on the TRA (email@example.com) for further details.
Our website is growing. Recent additions include ‘recommend a tradesman’ and a guide to children’s activities close to Lockner. You can be kept up to date with issues on Lockner by checking the website regularly.
Date For Your Diary!
Our next TRA meeting is on Wednesday 8th January 2014 from 7–8 pm. They typically last for an hour and it’s a great opportunity to have some face-to-face time with Hackney Homes staff. Please come along and get involved.
Hackney Food Bank
The Hackney Food Bank provides emergency food to Hackney residents in crisis. All food is donated by the local community. The Food Bank has been running desperately low in food and the need for emergency food is at its greatest. Can you help by donating any items from the Food Bank shopping list?
Milk (UHT or powdered), unrefrigerated juice, tinned fruit/meat/fish/vegetables, tinned or dried soup, rice (500g or 1k bags), instant coffee, cereals, curry and pasta sauce, instant mash potato, biscuits or healthy snacks, rice pudding (tinned), toiletries, nappies and baby products, toilet roll, washing-up liquid
The TRA has started a collection point for the Foodbank on Lockner. Please drop your donations off at the Community Flat (23 Blandford Court) on Tuesdays between 12 and 4pm and we will deliver it to the Foodbank for you. Thank you.
Do you have anything in good condition that you no longer use and would like to give away to a neighbour? No time to Ebay and post it? Want to rack up some festive neighbourly karma? Would like it collected from your house ASAP? Then email the TRA with a small advert to have it Lockner Freecycled. If you would like to receive emails about things your neighbours are giving away, then add your email to our mailing list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
New Primary School for Lockner Children
The Hackney New School on Downham Road are planning to open a primary school. The school governors would be keen to come to Lockner to talk to parents about our needs. If you would be interested in attending please email us email@example.com
